Kameraderie 2025
R540.00
This wine makes me want to enjoy a long, lazy lunch with friends. With yields as low as 2,3Tons/Ha, this wine is all about texture and mouthfeel.
The nose has that classic Paardeberg granite feel to it. Subtle white pear with fynbos floral aromatics at the end. You can smell these ancient granitic soils and the energy that it brings to these old vineyards. The palate has a beautiful minerality. The wine is tight and dense and takes a while to open up – ust how we like our chenins to be when they are young.
The grapes used are from old bushvines planted in 1966 located in the Paardeberg(Lammershoek) on decomposed granitic soils and dry-farmed. The grapes were destemmed and left to start fermentation naturally in one 500L old french barrel and the rest in an italian concrete tank. The wine was aged for 10 months on its primary lees without batonage.
