The Syrah is planted on schist soils, and the vineyard carried 2,5 tons/Ha, which led to a wine that was deeply concentrated. The Grenache is planted on red soils, which are rich in iron; these parcels give the final blend great perfume and elegance. The Syrah was 100% whole bunch fermented and was aged in big 500Litre barrels. The Grenache was destemmed. The Grenache was aged in small barriques. The wine was blended together after months in oak. One pump over was done on both vineyards.
